In the summer of 2011 a client contacted us about adding a 800 square foot walk-out basement/shop. This consisted of excavating all the way up next to the house, and re-grading around the shop to stop water flowing across the floor. Then we poured footers and eight foot walls. Next was pouring the 800 square foot concrete slab. We then added two overhead doors and one exterior door to the new shop. Since the shop was going to have a cement roof we had to install a unique roof system to support the roof. Also, because the shop was under ground with a door we had to come up with a way to make it easily accessible. This consisted of building walls, that would not collapse, up to grade and with landscaping bricks. When the shop was finished the client asked if we could refurbish the garoge doors and paint the house, garage and storage shed to match.
